Abstract

As a key technology of hybrid electric vehicles, regenerative braking is attracting more and more attention. In view of the limitations and complexity of pressure coordinated control system for the regenerative braking of hybrid electric vehicles, a new kind of pressure coordinated control system has been designed in the basis of appropriate transformation on anti-lock braking system (ABS). The system can realize the pressure coordinated control of the regenerative braking and the traditional ABS braking. Based on AMESim-simulink co-simulation, models have been established to make some simulation analysis under the conditions of constant braking intensity, variable braking intensity, pure ABS model and integrated braking model. The result is that the battery’s state of charge(SOC) recovery rates of them except pure ABS model are 0.27%, 0.33% and 0.29% respectively. It proves that motor can partly recover energy which is reduced in braking and provide part braking force. Consequently, the system can realize pressure coordinated control to meet the braking requirements and the simulation results illustrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the program which lays the foundation for the design and optimization of the regenerative braking system.
