To study the numerical relationship between temperature distribution and structural characteristics of the small induction motor, taking a set of total enclosed fan-cooled(TEFC) induction motor as the research object, on the basis of fluid mechanics and heat transfer theories, considering the structural characteristics that the induction motor stator winding is offline, a flow and heat transfer coupled mathematical and physical 3D model is built and the model contains the centrifugal fan and junction box structure, etc. Using the finite volume element method, the three-dimensional fluid field and temperature field coupling calculation .Based on the precise experimental data, the sensitivity of the temperature rise affected by the internal structure of the motor is illustrated in detail. The results show that the transverse brace on the temperature distribution of the motor has a great influence and lead to its position corresponding to the winding exist secondary temperature rising process. At the same time, the fan with the self-reliance in rotor has good heat dissipation effect for stator end windings, The above results for the mechanical structural optimization of small and medium-sized motor provides a certain practical reference.
