Trimming method which solves the problems with its own resources can ensure the structure simplification and the cost reduction. The existing trimming method is subjective analysis of designers under the rules guide, which limits simplification of operation and obtains solution in a way. The trimming methods nature and implementation as constraints, the TRIZ knowledge-based problems solving principles and rule as knowledge sources, determine that the knowledge-based trimming methods inspires in the form of objective knowledge principles during the distribution of system useful features in trimming process. Its effective integration with the existing trimming methods builds the multi-level, multi-angle trimming method set, which make their respective advantages complementary to each other. On this basis, the model of trimming innovative design is proposed. The innovative design of 900 t double guide beam bridge machine verifies it effectively.
