Abstract

A structural parameter optimization and simulation of a three-level cable-driven feed structure (CFS) for 50 m model of the large spherical radio telescope is presented. Considering the requirement of the orientation of the CFS increased to 60° from 40°, a novel design of the three-level CFS is performed. Aiming at the drawback of tension difference of the CFS, a method to optimize the tension difference of cables, and the structure of AB axis in CFS is proposed. Simulations had been developed combining with the 50 m FAST model, which demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed three-level feed cable-driven structure.
