Analysis of cold bending cracking of martensitic stainless steel castings

Abstract

The cold bending cracking of steel castings for large hydraulic turbine runners has been mainly analyzed and summarized in the text.It is proposed to control the quality by reducing the level of non-metallic inclusions in the castings & the content of δ-ferrite in the metallographic structure, improving the compactness of the sample itself, and eliminating the test sample defects.Finally, the bending performance compliance rate and casting quality have been improved.
